2021 Update: Shane is now semi-retired and accepting a limited number of bed commissions each year.
Roughly three years ago, we announced Shane’s intention to retire.
Just as we were about to complete what we believed would be our final furniture orders, Kandas was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer. Retirement was no longer an option.
The elevation of her diagnosis to metastatic breast cancer has taught us that time is precious.
We are excited to share that Kandas is now in remission. She has every intention of living for an additional 30+ years, and we’d like to relish every minute of those lusciously long years.
It is time for us to continue forward with our retirement plans. As of May 2, 2016, we are no longer accepting new orders.
Rest assured, all orders currently in the build queue will be created as scheduled, with the same attention to quality that you have come to expect.
It has been our absolute honor to create beautiful heirloom furniture for the past 18 years for clients around the world. We appreciate that you have allowed us to serve you for almost 2 decades.
